March 14, 2009:

Just a few weeks ago, the band and I celebrated the release of the new CD, with not one, but TWO CD release parties at 55 Degrees Wine Bar and Bistro in Plano, TX. The turn out on both nights was amazing... I can't remember the last time so many people came to hear us play. It was definitely a very successful weekend for us... a lot of it due to an article in the Dallas Morning News... thanks to Mario Tarradell:

February 21, 2009:

Wow... I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since I've updated my website... it's definitely time to revamp the site... but since I do everything myself, finding the time has been a bit tough... especially having my own MySpace site... it's so much more easier to maintain. Anyway... so much has happened over the last couple of years... most importantly, I've FINALLY released my new CD, "Mi Rosa Blanca" (Released January 27th 2009)

As many of you already know... we are no longer at Pearl anymore... that was a short lived couple of months there... and as usual, I get behind on my updates since creating my MySpace page, and it looks like we've been playing there for the last 8 months. I am happy to announce though, that I have been playing weekly, as a solo artist, over at Rouge in downtown Dallas.

January 30, 2006:
Today was one of the hardest days of my life.... I had to put my cat Josie to sleep. He had been suffering from F.I.V. for sometime now, and today was the day that it got the best of him. My heart feels like it's in a million pieces right now... The only thing that comforts me at the moment is knowing that he is no longer suffering.
To my baby boy... I'll love you for an eternity, and not a day will go by that I won't think of you. Missing you terribly... Love Daddy... :*-(

November 2005:
Wow... it's been almost a year since I updated my news section... My sincere apologies to everyone who's been visiting. In the past year, I've done everything from re-locate from San Antonio to Dallas, to putting together my "live" band, to playing my very first showcase in Arlington, and playing my very first full show in Dallas. Now I'm happy to announce that I have been writing material for my second CD, which I hope to start working on at the beginning of the new year. I am also happy to announce that my CD will soon be available through Best Buy.com (through CD Baby). I have also launched my own page at MySpace ( www.myspace.com/guitaristdavidgallegos )... my gosh where have I been, and why didn't I document this stuff as it was happening???? Well, I will try to stay on top of things a bit more often, and will try to keep the news as fresh as possible. ;-)

 

November 2004:
It's official... Mis Recuerdos crosses the Pacific and finds itself amidst the Secret of the Five Dragons. Thanks to Deron Blevins of MetalAges, Singapore's Orange Music has decided to license my CD for the territories of: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, & Taiwan. I am also working with 61 Street Publishing to take care of all of my publishing rights in those territories. I feel very lucky and extremely priviledged that my music has crossed international waters and will soon be available half way across the globe. Thanks again Deron, as well as many thanks to Keith and Orange Music for believing in my music and giving me the chance of a lifetime by allowing my music an opportunity to flourish in your territories.

 

Well, it looks like the "Official" CD release has been pushed back by a couple of weeks. Due to the holiday and with the plant being a bit busy with work, the new release date for the CD will be December 7th. The final release will contain two more songs that will feature vocals by Michelle Loose of the band BRAVE.

April 2004: At the moment, I'm currently working on the new Power of Omens CD. We're trying to aim for a mid-to-late summer 2004 release, but unfortunately we keep running into so many obstacles. Hopefully we can still make it happen.

March 2004: My Flamenco CD, 'Mis Recuerdos', is finally completed on my end... Now, I'm just waiting on a friend to finish up all of the actual bass-lines. Originally, I had all of the bass lines sequenced, but after hearing him add his touch to the songs, I decided to have him record the rest of the CD. He really helped to bring the songs to life.
I'm still looking for a label to release the CD... so as soon as I find one, the CD will finally see the light of day. Check out my media page for small demo sound clips.
